When I was little, a book called "In a Dark, Dark Room, and Other Scary Stories" piqued my interest in monsters. As I read more and listened more, different pieces of freaky tales piled up in my memory. They also got mixed up with other fearful thoughts like my favorite stuffed animal dying, getting punished from cursing, and my existence holding back those who are close to me.
The pile continues to grow, now more so with concerns for uncertainties. But then again, I began drawing monsters in the first place because there is no right or wrong form.
